Nu-Labour’s “Everyone back to work, OR ELSE!” policy

October 31st, 2008 · No Comments

So, in an effort to find something to be outraged about today, I didn’t have to look far when I found a link to this Telegraph article on a forum I read:

“Jason Lightwood, 38, enrolled on a group training session designed to help people struggling to find work.

As part of the session, jobseekers were given a questionnaire, set by Juniper Training in Tamworth, Staffordshire, in a bid to boost their self-esteem.

However, Mr Lightwood was left astounded after one of the questions asked if he ever “found it difficult to perform adequately or without embarrassment when involved in sex”.

One thing that truly annoys me about government policy is when it’s clearly unworkable, yet the government insists on pressing onwards, despite all objections, opposition, or appeals to humanity.

So, Nu-Labour wants to force everyone back to work, mental illness, incapacity or otherwise.

Doubtless they will be farming this process out to the lowest bidder. Let’s get some more PPI going, hey? Improve the quality of public sector service by letting profiteering mercenaries run the show.

So never mind the social contract folks, all you need to remember is ARBEIT MACHT FREI!
